Does anybody have court rulings, authoritative source materials or insurance law regarding the fact that agents do NOT have legal liability to remind customers to pay on their late billings or even more specifically to notify customers when their insurance policy cancels; especially when the insurance company direct bills the customer! As agents, we're constantly told not to have a program of calling the customers and there's but one court case of Permanent General Assurance Corp v. Jones and there's many opinions rendered, but I'd like to gather as much of this information as possible. One of our older customers is taking us to court over a claim attempted on her policy when her policy cancelled 5 months earlier.  She should know better since she herself is an insurance agent on the Life & Health side!Thank you to everyone who responds,Gary
