Back CA - Secondary Home Insurance

I have a potential Insured that has a secondary home in Big Bear. Anyone know of an admitted carrier that will write in this (sometimes) volitile area? I would like to avoid the FAIR Plan if possible. They have Allstate but I am told Allstate is non-renewing... Thank you!

I just wrote a secondary home in Shaver Lake through Foremost. If anyone can take it, they can.

Greetings from Big Bear... Our agency, aptly named, Big Bear Insurance has written home insurance up here since 1979 and surprisingly, we experienced only an 8 month period of no market availability having to do with Northridge not the area. Of course, as you can image underwriting is more restrictive but by no means should be considered overly difficult. Some of admitted carriers currently writing are: Allied Foremost (completely open) Aegis (Cabrillo) Travelers (Preferred) Typically it's got to be somewhat preferred in order to fit however, you can always revert to non-admitted paper which actually isn't all that bad considering they may offer a more competitve program for certain risks.
