If you know nothing about insurance your first step is to pick what type of insurance you want to learn about. Then a suggestion would be to obtain an entry level position in the industry. Claims is a good place to start, you learn about policies how they work and result if they are not written correctly. Its a good place to start.
There are also designations and classes you can take through the AICPCU IIA.
I second MWells, nothing in life is free or easy. Anything worth while is hard and cost money! Otherwise everyone would be rich and successful!

Try contacting the National Alliance at www.scic.com. They have several different program that will help you gain the knowledge and understanding you are looking for they offer classes for beginners to advanced.
The other suggestion is to contact companies that you work with, many have information in brochures that can be used as a starting point. Ask for help you will be suprised what your company reps can do.
