I have a client starting a Doula business that is looking for general liability and bonding and I am not sure where to even start. If you don't know what a Doula is...... "doula is an experienced, non-medical assistant who provides physical, emotional and informed choice support in prenatal care, during childbirth and during the postpartum period. A birth doula is a continuous care provider for labor in many settings, also assisting the parturient woman during transport from home to hospital or birth center." Please call me at 704-243-2693 Joe Minervini

Why buy GL when 90% of her operations would likely be excluded? .. or there would be enough grey areas for a carrier to tie up a denial of coverage for years and leave your client with a worthless stack of dec pages for their premium ... Sounds like she needs E&O and GL ... on a combined form - IF it exists. go to google.com. type in "doula insurance". AIG writes a policy for under $100. probably does not even need an agent. I think it said: www.childbirth.com. billybob
