I've searched through all the previous related discussions and would love some educated and experienced advice on the best "lean and mean" agency management system out there.

I'm especially interested in hearing from those with commercial and personal lines experience on any of the following:

QQ Solutions
Special Agent
EbixASP
TAM-Applied
Sagitta-AMS
InsurancePro

Starting P&C operations for both commercial and personal lines.  Autodownload, Auto-rater and strong accounting, easy input, flexible reports, quick service items (ID Cards, COI's, etc.) are all naturally a must.

I've reviewed all of the above and, based on the brochures, demos, etc. they all seem to have the capabilities we need but that's on the sales end.  Any agents/agency owners input would be Greatly appreciated here.

Thanks
Ken

I am looking for the same type of information. Have you had any luck in narrowing this down as to which system is better?

I was kinda hoping someone would have replied by now.  Although I understand the subject has been addressed in several previous occasions it would be nice to hear some more current opinions on the systems, etc.

I did have a new player come in who isn't in my original list and that is SIS Partner XE.  I'd love to hear from someone here who has used that system.

Thanks
Ken

I use TAM and am satisfied with it.   It does everything I need from the marketing standpoint and from the servicing standpoint it does a lot. i.e if a customer comes in and says add back the car I took off  a year ago, without bringing in the registration, I can go back into history and get the VIN # from the history file and cut and paste it into the change request.  I can also go back and check for previous coverage limits on Property policies,  rating basis for commercial liability (payroll, sales, area ???) check on previous changes and coverages.

Of the systems you have listed, I have used TAM-Applied and Sagitta.  First and foremost, Sagitta was the worst of all systems I have used.  It was not user friendly and had too many fields to complete that sometimes wouldn't tranfer over to apps etc.  There are too many technical gliches that happen daily with that system, making it very frustrating to get anything done.  Secondly, Applied was my favorite management system.  It was easy to navigate and it made sense.  Someone who has never used a management system could easily figure it out.  Other management systems I've used were Agency systems and Hawksoft.  Of those 2, I would suggest researching Hawksoft.

I hope that helps, good luck!

I agree with Janine.  Sagitta was the worst -- a lot of redundant data entry was required.  TAM-Applied remains my favorite and I would definitely recommend.  I am on the on-line version so I don't have to worry about installing new versions on each workstation.

I'm with Janine and fortiz, Sagitta is the worst. It's got some good features but overall you will spend more time fighting with the system then doing work. Also, when looking for new staff, it's easy to find folks with Tam-Applied experience but not Sagitta.   On-line applied works well and their support staff is very helpful

I've been trained on the AMS/AFW Online, AMS-360, a system that Hartford Ins had (can't recall the name), and Applied.  The one I liked the best was the Applied.  The agency I was at did alot of contractors, and it seemed to work well with the daily work involved with these types of accounts.  I understand that it's more expensive than the AMS,  If cost is the factor, then look into the AMS Systems.  I can work from home (where I have Vios, and it's very fast).  We have a much slower system at work.  Before switching systems, you may want to check your connectivity to be sure that your up to speed (no pun intended).  Good luck!
