Greenwood's Excess Casualty commercial insurance program targets a diverse array of industries and businesses, including apartment buildings, cannabis cultivation and distribution, carpentry, concrete construction, condominiums, excavation, firearms manufacturers and distributors, general contractors, lessor's risk properties, metal erection, oil and gas operations, real estate development properties, recreational facilities and resorts, roofers, security guards, small-to-medium auto fleets, special events, and warehouses. Each sector benefits from tailored coverage that extends beyond primary policies, ensuring comprehensive protection against significant liability risks.

Policy Structure: 

Our policy structure provides up to $10 million in capacity with a Follow-Form excess policy over Claims-Made and Occurrence forms. It can be supported or unsupported based on the client's needs and preferences. Each layer has a minimum premium of $1,000, offering flexibility and competitive pricing to suit various risk profiles and coverage requirements.

Submission Requirements:

  • Commercial Insurance application, Excess/Umbrella application, and Commercial General Liability application, including a complete description of operations, signed and dated by the insured at binding.
  • Supplemental application, as needed, signed and dated by the insured at binding.
  • Breakdown of auto fleet by vehicle type, specifying radius of operations and types of commodities transported
  • Five-year retrospective company evaluation for significant losses (exceeding $100,000).
