Developmentally Disabled Developmental Disabilities Disability

Description

Nonprofits Insurance Alliance (NIA) currently insures more than 26,000+ nonprofits in 32 states and the District of Columbia, including many types of developmental disability facilities.

These organizations provide disabled persons with a safe/friendly place outside of their homes where they can receive supervised social services, some types of health services, employment, food, housing, transportation, and many other services.

For nonprofits working with children, teens, the elderly, and disabled populations, NIA’s Improper Sexual Conduct and Physical Abuse Liability is designed specifically to meet your unique needs.

This coverage includes separate limits from General Liability and is available in both an occurrence form and claims-made form. This coverage extends to client-versus-client allegations and includes emotional distress arising out of sexual misconduct or physical abuse.

All NIA member-insureds receive stable liability coverage options and access to free/highly subsidized risk management tools, resources, and services.

Coverages include: General liability, directors and officers, business auto, non-owned hired auto, property, auto physical damage, social service professional, and liquor liability.

Organizations must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to be insured.
