The MOTER Commercial Auto program provides commercial auto liability and physical damage for small to large fleet businesses within the non-emergency medical transportation industry. The program incorporates traditional underwriting methods combined with telematics and a comprehensive driver score methodology used for risk management to better understand each risk and its exposure.Â
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), also known as Paratransit, is pre-arranged transportation for the elderly or other individuals who have difficulty obtaining transportation for medical services, including, but not limited to, doctor’s offices, dentist’s offices, hospitals, drug stores, or any place that provides health care services. NEMT vehicles can be private passenger, wheelchair-accessible, or stretcher-capable vehicles. NEMT services are typically arranged at least 24 hours in advance and utilize specially trained drivers accredited with wheelchair and stretcher tie-down certifications. Â
