I am looking for a market other than Monterey for trucking company who utilizes Mexican licensed drivers as well as a few US licensed drivers.  We have been unable to pull MVR's on the Mexican drivers making it difficult for carriers to consider insurance.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are two issues here for your reference.  There are few if any companies that will insure a guy from the US or Mexico that has a Mexico Drivers LIcense.  Those licenses start with #BN - However, there are carriers that will insure a "BI" National licensed driver.  Those guys drivers licenese start with an "X".  The guys with an "X" can be ran and pulled up by the motor carrier as part of his CHP/BIT program.  If there is no citations on his MVR, it will show as" no match" or "no record" meanging there is no record of any cites.  The criteria for getting a BI National license is tougher than getting a Calif Class A license.  The carriers off the top that should accept them:  Chartis/AIG  / Sentry Ins Group / Williamsburg National / provided there are not ALOT of them on the list, may have a shot here. But if the guys don't have a "BI National License" and only a Mexcian License, the only way to get that guy insured is to get a Mexico carrier insuring them in Mexico, and endorsing on the US.  But those guys legally can only go so far into the US, unlike the BI National licensed guys.  Or that has just been my experience.  Jeff I will contact you to get your program information. Good Luck!!
