My father has an old 1951 Chevy 3800 1 ton pick up that he just had fixed. He needs to drive it home where he plans to restore the body as a project. He wants insurance and needs to get tags for it. The vehicle has no title because it was misplaced and there’s no vin, it’s just a serial no. Because of how old it is. Any idea who would write this or what type of risk this would be?

It's a 1 ton pickup. You should be able to add to his personal auto policy, as long as he is not using it commercially. All pickups are registered "commercial" but many are just personal vehicles. Once he gets it restored, to get the value it's worth, you would want to go with a classic car program like Hagerty.
