I have a Contractors BOP on an insured in NE.  He is in the process of starting a contract in CO where he'll do all the framing on a new housing development in CO.  None of my markets will offer the GL in CO.  Is anyone aware of a market that I can place the GL in CO?

My experience in Oregon with contractors doing work in Washington or Idaho is that I didn' have to replace or duplicate the GLbecause there is no territorial or state limitation on that policy. What  did need to do was to generate a new bond for the state the contractor is doing work in.

What I learned was that is is the Bonding Company that needs to be licensed in the other state and that as long as I was transacting the business for a contractor domiciled in my state, the bonidng company was able to issue the bond for me.
