I am looking for a competitive market for long haul trucking including liability, physical damage & cargo. I am aware of some markets but I am tired of filling up so many forms & faxing to multiple carriers then start a chain of been requested more info, back & forth with my client... submit it, request for more info.. & finally a quote that is not even competitive. Is there any competitive market that has an online rater & submission of bind request capability? If so, I am positive to bring in at least 50 "18 wheelers" to my book of business by end of the year.

If you are a Canadian Trucker (based in Canada), you can try Markel Insurance Company of Canada. But Markel does not insure U.S. based trucks.

Welcome to the world of long haul trucking. Those apps, etc. are part of it. Good luck.

We write our fare share of for-hire trucking. I'll be happy to share with you how we are able to over-come the budensome task of multiple applications and possibly answer your questions about markets. I also have some questions for you. Call me if interested, 937-285-8203. -Jeff Lightner, CIC Brower Insurance Agency

The garaging address of your customer and the profile of your customer will determine what markets are available. Your experiences in this area are not unusual. Get ready for lots of on-going discussions with various underwriters if you intend to enter this area of insurance.

We have several markets for long haul trucking with a Transportation unit that writes almost nothing but this class, including single units or large fleets. We are a nationwide, independently owned wholesaler with offices across the country. Give me a call if wish to discuss. I am a wholesaler and can supply you with an on-line application for the cargo. It is non-admitted, so you need a surplus lines license and you must file the taxes with your state. call me at 201-797-1215 if you are interested. PS: We also do the Physical Damage.

Should be many many markets for you. _______________________________________________________________ Good suggestion. But being here, I would obviously try that option first before starting a thread. Sure there are so many markets, but I spent hours to find one that would have online rating & binding capacities, still unsuccessful. Maybe this thread will attention of MyNewMarkets.com guys & maybe they will be able to show me an easier way. RajSaraf

We do almost exclusively trucking and transportation risks - their are very few companies that offer online rating - unless you have a huge volume. But we are extremely familiar with the marketplace - and it varies by state - we are in a fair number of states and probably can help - feel free to call me. Mike Weinberg NTIB - 914-683-0701
