You should check out Onesysins.com, I have been told that they have the latest insurance tech., they charge a % of premium VS. Upfront money.

I used AMS 360. AMS Prime, Instar & Applied before as a management system. The one I raally like is Applied. If you are thinking of going paperless, Applied is the way to go. It makings things easier to process.

At the insurance agency that I currently work for, Summit Insurance Group LLC. We are currently using the AMS 360 program. I really like the ease in using it. You can do so many things with the system. Our company went paperless almost a year ago and we really have been able to scan and attach to the file without having to keep extra paper copies in the file cabinets. With this system you can even fax from your computer with no problems. You should look into this program. Let me know if you need information about it. Thanks Missie

For whatever it is worth. I am a commercial agent but work for the 6th largest personal lines agency in the US. We use Doris as an operating system and EZlynx as our personal lines rater. Prior to this with my own agency I used AMS. No system is perfect and there will always be infrequent individual carrier links on any system that need to be tweeked. They all work hard to stay up to date. Personally when using any rater whether commercial or personal lines I go direct to the company that they show to have the best rate and re-rate to confirm. This will keep you out of trouble on most occasions. Goodluck, jarnold@twfg.net

We have been very happy with the on-line version of Hawksoft. We have been able to eliminate our paper files. Hawksoft's customer support has been outstanding. We had one of the national vendors before, and we always had a hard time getting immediate support. That's never been the case with Hawksoft. We are mainly a personal lines agency with multiple offices, so, I don't know if it would work as well on the commercial lines side.

I have just completed a rather exhaustive search and quickly narrowed it down to DORIS and Quickfile. I selected Quickfile because it did ALL the same things DORIS does with the exception that DORIS does commisions based on ACTUAL commissions paid, whereas QUickfile does commissions based on a % of premium downloaded which I don't think would be as accurate. Quickfile also does faxing from the desktop. DORIS wanted an extra $750 plus $30 more per mo., plus a separate computer just for that. Quickfile online version is $1080 for up to 5 users. DORIS is $2000 plus 125 mo 1st user and $62 EACH additional user. I did the math and the choice was easy. I did a demo on each for several hours. THey were very similar in ease and speed of use. Quickfile also seemed more responsive to agent ideas for improvements. I was impressed that I got to see their "dirty laundry" the area where agents write in with ideas & suggestions for improvements...no system is perfect but they were certainly not trying to hide anything. I also suggest calling the tech support dept of the carriers you do business with and ask about how they like the agency management system....I got not so good feedback from some of the biggest names in agency management systems...it seems the bigger they are the less responsive. Quickfile has been around about 10 years. Now that I am jumping in...I'll see how it goes.
