Hello, I have been a P&C agent in Texas for about six years now and have mainly just been producing personal lines. I am currently starting my own agency and would love to start producing commercial lines as well but I have no idea where to start. Is there anybody who could point me in the right direction to get some company appointments. Any help I would greatly appreciated. Thanx

Good Morning gusortiz, I am with a wholesale broker out of GA and have access to several P&C markets. Our agents find it convenient to work through our agency to avoid company commitments, impersonality's and the convenience of the "one stop shop" for all your P&C needs. If you would like to give me a call @ 866-673-0865 to discuss our services in detail or visit our website @ www.ram-insurance.com. Look forward to speaking with you soon.

    Hi Gustavo,

We are the underwriters for QBE, Chartis, Travelers, and Fireman's Fund - we write a specific program for health & human services (home health, adult daycare, non-profits, etc.) We also have programs for non-emergency medical transportation and pizza shops with delivery.

We do not require appointment or a premium commitment - just a basic producer agreement, proof that you have E&O coverage, and a P&C license. We can also provide you co-branded marketing materials for your new agency.

Give me a call on my direct line at 610-814-2185 or email me at datha.nix@afcins.com

I would make sure to spend a lot of time learning commercial lines insurance. It's a lot different that personal lines. I have seen a lot of personal lines agents try to get i the CLines game only to have some big E&O problems later on. There are a lot of classes that you can take, to make sure you do it right.

Gus, my team would be pleased to assist you with any of your surety and fidleity bond needs.  As you move into commercial lines, bonds can be a good cross-sell.  Your general and artisan contractors will certainly appreciate you having surety access.

Our commissions to producers are excellent and responsiveness to producer request superlative.  By far the most valuable benefit to you is that as we underwrite your bond requests, we TEACH you how to identfy and underwrite surety and fidelity risks.

No appointment necessary, just P/C in your HOME STATE.  We do appoint agencies and GAs with $100,000 or more in annual gross surety premium.
