General Liability for a Business Consultant

We are looking for a carrier that will provide BI and PD for a Business Consultant in the scope of their professional services.  They have separate professional liability to cover their Errors and Omissions, but they still need the BI and PD coverage under a GL.  Every carrier we have approached for this coverage wants to add an exclusion for professional services, even though the insured has a separate policy for that (which does not cover BI and PD). There is literally no exposure but we cannot get anyone to offer coverage.

I might be able to do it but I am pretty sure it would have to be a combined policy - so they'd have to cancel the existing E&O.
    What state?

If you have a BOP, you have the BI and PD cover already. The exclusion you are speaking of is only excluding professional services, which you have covered elsewhere.  maybe ask the carriers that have quoted you to explain the exclusion?

I don't believe its currently writte on a BOP but regardless I am pretty sure the exclusion is excluding BI and PD arising out of their professional services, otherwise our producer would not be looking for a market to cover this.

In regard to the post above from cishemant we are talking about general liability here not auto liability.

I believe the solutions is to have one carrier provide the GL and E&O coverage, which is the avenue he is pursuing.

    Thanks!

I have to agree with gregheitmann. The exclusion you are speaking of is only excluding professional services, which you have covered elsewhere. I would double check with the carrier as well.
